As I’ve mentioned before, I’m becoming more and more intrigued about the possibilities of video. So, to help further develop my videography skills, I decided to start a little personal project documenting the life of my grandfather. Last week I was in Pittsburgh and I spent a week with him interviewing him and visiting places from his past. I still have a lot more footage I want to get, including interviews with all of his children (my aunts and uncles). But, in the meantime, I thought I’d put together a rough, little trailer to give everyone a taste of what’s to come. It’s short and doesn’t include too much info but it’s a start.

Shawn Duffy is a freelance commercial photographer and photojournalist based in the Washington, DC Metro area. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he is a self-taught photographer who has decided to merge his passion for photography with his intense interest in the world around him. From the bustling streets of Bangalore, India, to the refugee camps of occupied Palestine, Shawn strives to create images and tell stories that compel others to act.
